Public Transportation

The cheapest mode of transport, public transportation, is available at Malaga Airport in the Arrivals of Terminal 3, ground floor. Several bus lines operate to/from AGP - city buses, intercity buses, and long-distance buses.

If you’re looking for a connection between the airport and the city center, there’s an Express Bus Service operating from 07 AM to 12 AM: Paseo del Parque / Aeropuerto Express line.

The one-way fare for this line is only 3€. You won’t find a cheaper way to get to the city.

There are 3 intercity direct bus lines.

  • Airport - Marbella Line: fares starting from 6.15€ (not higher than 8.35€).
  • Estepona - Airport Line: the one-way fare is 10.90€.
  • M - 135 Line (Malaga - Santa Amalia): this line doesn’t stop at the airport (AGP), you’ll have to walk to San Isidro Road.

If you’re trying to find Malaga Airport transfers to Seville, Granada, Algeciras, or Motril, the long-distance buses are definitely the cheapest option.

The one-way ticket will cost 20€.

Where to purchase a bus ticket?

Exit Terminal 3 Arrival Hall, turn right, and head outside into the square. There are a couple of kiosks where you can buy the ticket. Alternatively, you can purchase it when boarding your bus.

Train

There is another possible airport transfer option - using a train to any destination in Spain. A suburban train line (the C1 line) connects Terminal 3 with several locations: Malaga City, Torremolinos, Benalmádena, and Fuengirola. Travel at a reasonable price and with peace of mind.

You can reach Malaga Airport train station from the square outside the Arrivals lounge and from the sidewalk of Terminal 3 Departures.
