There are also various places of activities for families as well as cool bars and restaurants for the young.

Things to do

If you want to check out the Perth Cultural Centre which includes a theatre, library, and the Art Gallery of Western Australia, go to the modern city center. State ballet and opera companies are there as well. Central Perth also offers the Scitech science center and the glass Bell Tower with its observation deck that provides amazing city views. Murray, Hay, and King streets are great for those who want to go shopping, as well as Elizabeth Quay offering various shops, eateries, and museums by the river.

The huge Kings Park and Botanic Garden are also located close to the city center. Beach lovers will also enjoy here since there are several sandy beaches lining Perth’s suburbs, including Cottesloe Beach, Scarborough Beach, and Trigg Beach. If you have time to go out of the city, there are a few beautiful places you should definitely visit - Yanchep National Park, Caversham Wildlife Park, Swan Valley, and Lake Leschenaultia.

Perth Airport

This is both domestic and international airport which is also the fourth busiest one in Australia. In 2018, almost 14 million passengers used Perth Airport and it was named the best airport in Australia for service quality. The airport code is PER. It is located about 10 miles away from the Perth city center.
