After waiting an hour we called to get an eta (orig. was 40 min) had Andy at dispatch yell at me repeatedly instead of letting me finish my question and giving a calm, helpful answer. Just walk lol the town is 6 miles across and everyone has a horror story about go alpine.
Posted by Kay on 29 November 19 on GoogleDO NOT USE - Left us stranded after a scheduled pickup! My girlfriend and I called Go Alpine on 10/21 to get a ride from downtown Steamboat up to the Strawberry Park Hot Springs for the night, and then wanted a pickup the following morning to bring us back to town. It was snowy and the roads were bad, so we were happy that the driver made it the 7 miles up to the springs. We had scheduled a pickup with the dispatcher for the next morning at 10AM, but when the time came, no taxi. The springs have no cell service, but when we asked to borrow their landline to make a call, a man at Go Alpine answered and told us that they would not be picking us up because the roads were too bad. He said that they never should have made the pickup reservation in the first place, and that a mistake had been made. When I told him that we were stranded up there and had now way to get back as we were relying on their ride, he did briefly say that he would send someone up there to get us even though he shouldn’t, since they had made a mistake. However, after he talked with the springs manager, we were told he would not be sending someone up because the springs would not accept liability if their taxi was damaged or went off the road (Of course not - why would the springs accept this liability anyway?) We were left stranded up at the springs, with no ride, no cell service, and our only option was to walk the 7 miles back into town, down the twisty, windy dirt road in freezing temperatures through the snow. When we finally got back into service, we had no call, no voicemail from Go Alpine letting us know that they weren’t coming. Horrible service, DO NOT use this company if you need a dependable ride in dicey weather.

Posted by Juan Jesus Oliveras on 26 October 19 on GoogleAt this time there's no reliable transportation in Steamboat. The city will put on events but won't get people in the surrounding area safely back to their homes. Seems they should have no beer events in a resort town
Posted by jesse daniels on 02 September 19 on GoogleHorrible service. Has a difficult time communicating about where the drivers are able to go and pick up. Definitely do not recommend.

Posted by metalchick82 fo eva on 30 March 19 on GoogleMy insurance hired GO-ALPINE to transport me to doctors visits following a surgery until I can drive. The drivers have all been exactly on time to pick me up from home and when I am done at the doctor. They have all been easy to talk to and have been really helpful. I want to mention Tim 61 specifically!
Posted by Adam Gerstenberger on 20 March 19 on Google😖I have lived here foe 46 years, and have used alpine taxi often. Back in the day when Marty owned it I never had a complaint! NOW I am very unhappy with them! When I called them I ASKED if they were busy as I was at Safeway and only live a 15 minute WALK away. I wanted a cab because of the mess of SNOW around my home....... I was told they were not "Busy" and that the next available driver would be there in about 10 minutes.......... 30 MINUTES LATER and after the gal in Safeway had been on hold with them for 10 minutes SHE HAD THEM ON SPEAKER they NEVER answered, the cab came as I was walking home, now in the dark. Alpine needs to let people know how LONGGGGGG their gonna WAIT! That is the RIGHT thing to do! And Not lay off people before the season is over. And then the nonsense of not answering the phone because your toooooo busy, bad business! I MISS YOU SO MUCH MARTY❣
Posted by karen dooley on 10 March 19 on GoogleThis seems to be a really good company... They picked up right on time, the driver was super friendly and gave a tour of the area on the way to the airport. Phone customer service was awesome with the exception of the first person I talked to on Saturday night that didn't seem to be coherent and screwed up the days and needed everything repeated. When I called the next day the woman I got was awesome and same when I called afterwards to get a final receipt. Good local company worth supporting.
Posted by Josh F on 19 February 19 on GoogleI made a reservation for 2 adults and 2 kids under 5, for a one-way trip Steamboat to HDN, and the total was just under $80. I'll be gone 11 days, so this is cheaper than uncovered parking at the airport for $9 a day. AND Go Alpine told me, in detail, about the cancellation policy. AND they called me, before I got any notification from the airline, to tell me our flight was cancelled, so they would not be coming to pick us up. AND we can reserve again (for free since I've already paid) when our flight is re-scheduled. It's easy to see their prices online, and you can decide for yourself if it's cost effective to use their service.
