There are about many VW Blue taxis in the city, and you can get one on the main street (La Costera) at any hour of the day or night. Always agree on the price before entering the taxi. For most trips during the daytime, you should pay 25 pesos ($2.25). At night it will be 30 pesos.

Buses
A bus ride anywhere within the city costs 4.5 pesos. Look for the blue and white buses with the words "Costera" on the side. The rides are quite bumpy, hot, and can get a little crowded. There are other blue-and-white, non-Costera buses, but these often take detours or drive really slow.
The buses usually run until 10:00 pm and sometimes 11:00 pm.
There are Air Conditioned Buses - the beige or yellow ones that travel along La Costera. They cost 5.5 pesos but are harder to find that the normal ones.
