There are some private airport shuttles you can book from Bangkok Airport to Bangkok, such as Klook Airport transfers. The rate from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the city will be **$20.15 **if you use online booking process. They offer a meet-and-greet service and have great reviews.

To find your ride at BKK Airport, look for a Klook airport representative at the Arrival Hall between Gates 3 and 4.

Public Transportation

There are three transportation options, both being great choices when it comes to the price - public buses, public vans, and airport rail. Buses are definitely the cheapest option but bear in mind that they could be crowded and take longer to get you to a destination. There are 11 available bus routes with rates ranging from 24 to 35 baht($0.77-1.12).

As opposed to public buses, public vans offer a more comfortable service with fewer stops along the way. There are 9 available routes with rates ranging from 25 to 70 baht($0.80-2.24). Since the price is similar, we recommend using vans to get to your destination faster.

  • How to find the bus/van pick-up spot?

Buses and vans pick up passengers at the Public Transportation Centre which is outside the main terminal building. To get there, go outside the Arrivals Hall, at Entry Gate 5, and look for the Airport Express Shuttle Service.

Alternatively, you can travel via Bangkok Airport Rail Link which operates from 6 AM to 12 AM. The City Line trains are available every 10 to 15 minutes, and it can take you from Bangkok Airport to the city within 30 minutes.

Use this Airport Link to get to Phaya Thai station for 45 baht or $1.44. When you arrive, transfer to the Skytrain(BTS) to further explore the city. The price will be no more than 15 baht per stop($0.48).

  • How to find the train pick-up stop at BKK?

Go to the First Floor to find the entrance to the Airport Rail Link service.

Bangkok Taxi Service

Bangkok Airport taxi is a very convenient airport transfer. It is more expensive than public transportation, of course, but it should get you to your destination faster. The designated taxi stands are at Entry Gate 4 - you will need to take an elevator from the Arrival Hall on the second to the first floor.

  • This Bangkok airport transfer is available 24/7, and the rate from Suvarnabhumi Airport to downtown Bangkok is 350-400 baht($11-13). This price includes the courtesy fee of 50 baht for the taxi driver.

Note that traffic in Bangkok can be pretty congested, so sometimes taxi transfer is not much faster than other transportation options.

There is one taxi service in Bangkok similar to Uber - Grab Taxi. It is an app-based transfer company that can easily take you from BKK to any destination in the area. You can find out more on their website.
