Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is the busiest and largest airport in Serbia that serves Belgrade, the country’s capital city. This international airport is placed 11 miles away from downtown Belgrade. If you’re flying into this modern European city and need a reliable airport transfer, there’s no need to worry; many ground transportation services are available to airport passengers.
Travelers who wish to stay in a city hotel should book one of the Belgrade hotels with free shuttle service. Fortunately, many hotels in the area provide Belgrade Airport transfers, and all of them are quite close to the city center and tourist attractions. The hotel transfers aren’t always complimentary, so ask about the price before booking. If you still haven’t found suitable accommodation, check out one of the following establishments: Airport Garni Hotel, Hollywoodland Wellness & Aquapark, Apart Hotel K, Garni Hotel Mar, and Garni Hotel Zeder.
If your accommodation doesn’t provide shuttles, you have other convenient airport transportation options. Several companies offer Belgrade Airport shuttle transfers for single travelers and groups. The fares depend on the type of service and number of people. One-way fare can be as low as RSD 500 per passenger, which is less than $5. If you’re traveling alone, the price will be higher, but it can be even lower for groups larger than 4. Dependable Belgrade Airport shuttles are provided by Rentim, Play Travel, and Stosic Agency.
The cheapest airport transfer is public transportation, and three public bus lines operate to and from BEG Airport. The minibus A1 line connects the airport with Slavija Square, and the bus fare is RSD 300 ($2.90). The bus lines 72 and 607 run to several locations, such as New Belgrade, Surcin, and Zeleni Venac. The fare is RSD 89 if you purchase the ticket from the kiosk at the station.
Belgrade Airport taxi services are available in front of the airport — whenever you get there, you’ll be able to find a taxi cab since many taxi companies operate to and from BEG. The taxi cabs offer the quickest but most expensive rides. They have fixed rates for each part of the city, and the prices start at RSD 1400 (~$14).
The final transportation option is renting a vehicle, which gives you the freedom and possibility to explore the area on your own. Belgrade Airport has 18 rental car offices placed in the Arrivals of Terminal 2 and on the lower level of Terminal 1. Some of the car rental agencies located at BEG are Avis, Budget, Carwiz, Dollar, Hertz, Moris, Sixt, Thrifty, etc. Even though reservations aren’t required, we always recommend booking in advance for a faster and cheaper process.
