Public Transportation

If you are one of the budget-conscious travelers, you should use public transport since it’s definitely the cheapest option. 

You can connect with Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner and the COASTER at Amtrak's Santa Fe train station downtown by using Metropolitan Transit System Route 992.

City Bus Public transit is available between the Airport and downtown San Diego on the Metropolitan Transit System's Route 992, which stops at Terminals 1 and 2.

They operate between 5 AM and 11:30 PM, every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays.
