You can easily find a taxi cab at IAD Airport. There is one taxi company that offers 24-hour service to and from the Airport - Washington Flyer Taxi Service. Other cab companies are prohibited from soliciting passengers on airport property.

If you made a reservation, check the following instructions on where to pick up your vehicle:
From the Terminal Baggage Claim Level, exit down the ramp to Door 2, 4 or 6. Rental car shuttle buses pick up at Curb 2C or Curb 2F. They are operated by each individual company. Look for the company's logo on the bus before boarding.
Public Transportation
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get reliable transportation. If you’re not in a hurry and are looking for the cheapest transfer, public transport is the choice for you.
Metro's Silver Line, the Silver Line Express Bus, provides a convenient connection between Dulles' Terminal and the Wiehle-Reston East Metrorail Station. The trip takes about 15 minutes.
The one-way fare for adults is $5.00. Children younger than 2 years ride for free.

Other transportation providers pick up passengers on the second curb after exiting down the ramp from Baggage Claim.
Fairfax Connector is a local bus with Route 981 and Route 983 operating at the IAD Airport.
Route 983 serves the museum and operates only during museum hours. Route 981 operates outside of museum hours. Both routes serve locations in Reston.
Regular fare is $2.00.
Metrobus’ Route 5A can take you to Rosslyn Station and L'Enfant Plaza in Washington.
Exact fare is required, and that is $7.50.
Virginia Breeze is an intercity bus service connecting Blacksburg, Virginia with Union Station in Washington, D.C. One of the stops is at Dulles International Airport.
